Margaret “Maggie” Crabtree is a life-long communicator, evidenced by her first nickname, "Magpie". Her personal motto derives from her childhood experience as a Camp Fire girl, where she learned to "give service in all that you do."
Maggie has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Communications from Eastern Washington University. She is accredited in public relations through the Public Relations Society of America (APR), and is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Spokane.
Maggie has worked in for-profit and non-profit organizations and has gained experience in all aspects of marketing communications and public relations. This includes communications research, strategic and project planning, training and teaching, writing, public speaking, event planning, development, media relations, community relations, and organization historical research. In addition her volunteer work has expanded her experience into political and governmental relations.
She has served as the PRSA regional APR training coordinator, taught at Eastern Washington University and Gonzaga University, and provided specialized training to non-profits and organizations on public relations and servant-leadership.
